Ministries | Ladies' Ministry
The Ladies Ministry is meant to equip, lead and guide women in a Biblical approach to life. This is facilitated through Bible study, fellowship, and ministry to others. Our goal is to emulate the Proverbs 31 woman in her home, workplace, and sphere of influence.
Ladies Ministry is led by a team of six dedicated women who meet often to plan and pray for women of the church and others whose lives we touch. Our women have bi-monthly gatherings for fellowship and ministry. Fellowship opportunities this past year included the annual Ornament Exchange, Christian book studies, a movie night, and adult banquets at Valentine's Day and Christmas, along with craft demonstrations and cook-offs. The ladies also traveled to Natchez, Ms., for the annual pilgrimage and St.Francisville for a Beth Moore Seminar.
Ministry opportunities included a food ministry to meet the needs of the congregation and community and a weekly prayer group led by one of our ladies in her home.
Weekly Bible studies on Wednesday nights at 7pm follow a curriculum from the Women of Faith series. This encourages women to study the word during the week and share in a small, informal setting of believers on Wednesday nights. Periodically the women participate in a more challenging study of God's word with either the Beth Moore "Living Proof" materials or "Deeper Still" seminars, via DVD.
